During the outward flight on a recent sortie against Frankfurt, Flight Sergeant Austin's aircraft was subjected to 6 attacks by an enemy aircraft. These attacks were skilfully evaded and Flight Sergeant Austin proceeded and bombed his target successfully. On the return flight another attack was made by an enemy fighter which was destroyed.
