No. 452 Squadron, RAAF - August 1943

17 August 1943 - Strauss
Four Jap recco aeroplanes came over the area; Spitfires shot down four. The first wave in the forenoon contained 3 Dinahs and 457 Sqdn pilots shot them down. In the afternoon W/C Caldwell with F/S Padula as No. 2 shot down a Dinah into the sea about 20 miles west of Cape Fourcroy. They first attacked 15 miles NW of Darwin.
