F/Lt. Hunter, RAAF crashed P40E approximately 40 miles S.E. from Amberley (killed).

Lt. Wilkite, US Air Corps, crashed P40 near Harrisville, not injured. Bad weather; no flying.
10 February 1942 - AMBERLEY
Commenced new Station Hours, 0730 to 1730 hours. No flying; aerodrome U/S. Staff Nurse Miss L.W. Godson ceased attachment to this unit on posting this unit. Senior Sister E.R. Thompson arrived this unit on posting from No. 3 RAAF Hospital, Richmond for Medical duties.
11 February 1942 - AMBERLEY
No flying; aerodrome U/S. General blackout test carried out satisfactorily. Eleven P40E departed for Mascot. Senior Sister J.D. Throsby departed this unit on posting to No. 3 RAAF Hospital, Richmond.

AERODROME IMPROVEMENTS AND ADDITIONS:
Work on aerodrome defence, casualty clearing stations and trenches was continued throughout month and now nearing completion; erection of 37 aircraft dispersal pens continued. Emergency power house and three additional bomb dumps completed and now in use.
