No. 54 Operational Base Unit, RAAF - January 1943

1 January 1943 to 31 January 1943 - MACDONALD
The month of January was spent on camp construction work at MACDONALD, preparing latrines, showers, etc., after which the majority of airmen were employed in collecting stones for crusher. Metal for surface of strip. Four airmen were working continually on digging a well, which is still in progress.
STRENGTH: 1 Flying Officer, 1 Sergeant, 7 Corporals, 21 AC's.
